Delivery Policy

We provide delivery for orders of $1,000 or more. The delivery fee is $150 within the greater Seattle area and increases for longer distances or trips requiring ferry transportation. Additional delivery stops within a 10-mile radius are subject to a $50 fee.  Please refer to our Delivery Fee Schedule for current pricing.

Deliveries are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Spring and fall are especially busy seasons, so we encourage customers to plan accordingly. We ask for two weeks if plants need to be ordered in. If everything is on the lot, we still require 48 weekday hours to pull and confirm.

To schedule a delivery, please provide the delivery address, as well as the phone number and email address of the on-site contact person receiving the plant material. This individual will be our primary point of contact should any delivery-related issues arise.

Delivery appointments are provided as a one-hour arrival window and should be considered an estimate rather than a guaranteed time. While we make every effort to arrive within the scheduled window, arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions, weather, or other circumstances beyond the driver’s control. If a significant delay occurs, the driver will attempt to contact the on-site contact person.

If parking is limited or restricted, please plan to provide adequate space for our trucks to park and unload safely. Our delivery truck is 20 feet and requires the use of lift gates to unload large plants. In many situations, parallel parking is not possible. We are unable to block residential streets while unloading in accordance with RCW 46.61.570.

Larger plant material may require machinery for unloading. As a general guideline, trees measuring 2″ caliper and/or 12 feet tall or greater should be expected to require equipment for safe unloading. Adequate personnel and any required equipment must be available on-site for delivery.

If the required crew or equipment is not present when the truck arrives, Northwest Nurseries will be unable to complete the delivery. The order will not be unloaded and must be rescheduled. The customer will be charged a non-delivery fee to cover delivery costs associated with the unsuccessful delivery attempt. This fee is based on the delivery location and may exceed $150. A new delivery fee will also apply when the order is rescheduled.

A few days before delivery, we will send a confirmation email requesting verification of the delivery address and on-site contact information. Please review your sales order carefully and notify us of any special delivery considerations, such as steep driveways, limited access, gate codes, or addresses that may be difficult to locate.
